I bought this crossbow about a year ago and waited to write a review to make sure I know what I'm talking about. When I was shopping for a crossbow it came down to the Equinox crossbow Excalibur. I killed three deer this season with the Equinox and the Firebolt arrows and Boltcutter broadheads and none ran more than 50 yds. I practice a lot, especially at off yardages This is an excellent crossbow and incredibly accurate but don't rely on that...put your time in and DON'T WOUND DEER OR ELK!!!!

I live in Michigan where crossbows have always been restricted for the older or physically challenged hunters. The MDNR changed this for the 2009 season. I literally knew nothing about crossbows. I've bow hunted for 15 years, but had never even so much as held a crossbow. I studied crossbows on the web and at the shops for two months and ultimately chose the Exocet crossbow Excalibur. This was the most gratifying hunting purchase I've ever made. This Exocet crossbow is awesome. It is compact and well balanced which makes it a great addition to the treestand. It's speed and accuracy using the Firebolt arrows are superb. WARNING, do not aim for the same spot on your target twice. I bought the Firebolts which are not cheap and while sighting in I put one bolt inside another. Costly mistake but it was cool.
I highly recommend the Exocet crossbow to anyone from a first timer to a veteran. My research told me that this crossbow performs as well as if not even better than the crossbows that are twice the price. I have taken
Deer. Elk and Turkey with it. Great bow.

After trying many bows in the store I went with the Equinox, mainly because of the way it felt, nice and compact and very well balanced. Many of the other bows such as the Barnet Predator were very front end heavy. After reading about some of the problems with some new high speed bows, the warranty certainly helped me choose this brand. After getting this bow home and shooting it, I am very impressed, once I got it dialed in on the crosshair at 20 yards, it shot the 30 and 40 yard targets dead on just by using the next dot down. Now I will have to go look for a place where I can set up a 50 and 60 yard target.
I would highly recommend this bow to any other first time crossbow deer hunters.

This Exomax is a well balanced crossbow that shoots accuracy. The patterns I shoot at 50 yards is just as tight as they are at 20 yards. This made me go out and buy a mono Fletcher so I can replace the vanes that I keep tearing off. Not because I am pulling them out of the target. Its because the Firebolts are hitting them. This is how tight the patterns are. Hats off to you Excalibur for a job well done.

This Exomax is the best shooting, most compact, strong, hard hitting, and consistent accuracy crossbow that I have ever shot or owned for that matter!! Excalibur really got this one right! I would recemmend this Exomax crossbow to anyone. Also I used there Firebolt arrows and Boltcutter broadheads. I look forward to this deer season to see what kind of damage I can do to another Big Deer!!

I was shipped my Axiom crossbow with no problems. Putting it together was a small challenge, but to no fault of Excalibur. All the parts were there with nothing missing.

After looking at several different crossbow models and shooting different ones I decided on the Vixen. It is well balanced and not front end heavy like most crossbows. The scope was dead on at 20 yards but the cross hairs were not level. A slight adjustment took care of that along with adjusting the eye relief where it was confortable for me. This will be a great bow for Elk and Deer. I would recomment the Vixen bow to anyone looking for a crossbow. A bit expensive but much better than other manufacturer packages with twice the quality of crossbow.

I just received my Equinox yesterday and shot it last night. I have to say I could not be more pleased. I bought this Equinox crossbow to replace an existing bow that was about 10 years old. The difference is amazing. This bow was dead accurate at 20 yards right out of the box. The bow-scope that was included in the package was great. It has a lighted recticle which is nice in low-light conditions. The $869. price for the bow, scope, 4 Firebolt arrows and Boltcutter broadheads, rope cocking device was very reasonable. I will say that this bow is built like a tank and is not light. That doesn't really matter to me though as I will be resting it on a rail in my tree stand. My only complaint is that this shot the bolts (Firebolt arrows and Boltcutter broadheads) right through my Black Hole target (said tongue in cheek). Amazing power and accuracy. I highly recommend this bow." Look out Deer!

I just received my 2011 Excalibur Equinox. This is my first crossbow that feels very comfortable. I had the Barnett which was very heavy and difficult to draw back so I returned it.
What a difference with the Excalibur Equinox, much easier to draw back, and the weight of this crossbow is awesome compared to the Barnett. The crossbow is built like a tank but a joy to hold and carry.
Just screw to assemble the entire crossbow and you are done. Attach the detachable Quiver and install your firebolt arrows and you are ready to go hunting for Deer and Elk.

I shot about every crossbow on the rack from expensive to starter bows. I looked at every detail on every bow I held and the Exomax crossbow Excalibur was the best value for all following categories. Construction- very sturdy great balance and fit to the shoulder. Weight- easy to carry a long way without tiring but not so light that it feels funny. Noise/Vibration- every bow I shot sounded about the same this one had very little vibration and the safety is METAL extremely smooth quiet and in a fantastic spot (big selling point for me) b/c that is critical time of use with prey standing feet from you, most all of the others were plastic noisy and hard to manipulate. Trigger- Very impressed with the trigger, it is metal fairly wide for good finger grip and literally zero crawl in it very crisp and smooth.

I traded my compound bow just before bow season for a Ibex, I shot many differant crossbows, including the more popular ones. But for the money this Ibex crossbow delivers in every way its easy of use to its accracy. I shot a doe deer at 10 yds right between the shoulder blades she went 10 yds my Son used it and he also shot a Buck deer at 30 yds and didn't even flinch. went 150 yds. he is buying a Axiom crossbow later this year.

The Vortex was my first crossbow so I have nothing to compare it to but all I can say is, I should have bought one years ago. Dead on accurate and more power than I expected, by a long shot. Love it. I had some trouble figuring out how to cock it but that was my own fault.

After spending several months researching crossbows and reading several reviews. I decided the Equinox was for me, After 3 adjustments to the scope had it dead - on @ 20yds, moved out to 30 yds dead-on moved to 40 yds 3 arrow group was 1/12 in. 2 shots @ 50 yds 2 in. group. Like one reviewer said once sighted - in, don't shoot at the same spot , I split 2 firebolt bolts @ 20 yds. One happy customer." This year I will be ready for those elk and deer and few coyote.

The Equinox is a great crossbow!! I was considering a Ten Point Turbo, and ended up buying the Equinox. It was the best choice!!! It is quiet (for a crossbow) and accurate. If you want the best you can't go wrong with Equinox. They are the BEST deer killer that is out there!!!!!

I purchased the Exomax Excalibur and right out of the box it was easy to use. On my forth Firebolt arrow I was hitting the bulleye at 20 yards. At 25 yards I put 3 arrows inside a fifty cent pc. This cross bow is AWESOME. I took the bow out after a few weeks and loaded it and again I hit the bulleye on my first shot. I can hardly wait until deer and elk season. I got up in my deer stand and at 25 yards and 12 feet up the second arrow again right in the bulleye. This bow is a little expencive but its well worth it.

The Equinox is an Excellent crossbow. I would recommend to get this crossbow over any other one. I am hitting targets at 60 yards dead on. very durable easy to use and extremely accurate. If your serious about hunting and willing to pay $500 or more for a crossbow do yourself a favour and get this one from the start. I say this is the best crossbow on the market.

The Excaliber Exomax is a TOP of the LINE crossbow. Get The rope cocking device, it cuts the pull in half. They say don't hunt with a crossbow at more than 35 yards! Who are they? Go shoot this bow for one day, after that you will know what they don't! This kind of speed can add 15 yards. I can now take my shot up to 50 yards to get my elk and deer. I have 3 older Barnett bows and they don't stand close to what this one can do! A VERY FAST and HARD HITTING BOW. If you buy the best you can forget the rest. Exomax is a great crossbow, if someone differs then they haven't done to much bow or crossbow hunting. This machine hits fast and hard

The Equinox is an Incredible hunting machine. I have shot plenty. All shots are clean through. The farthest was 60 yards. I had practiced extensively at various distances from 30 to 80 yards and I know exactly where it shoots. In the scope there is a 50 yard arrow and I held it flush with the top of the target. I pulled the trigger and the Firebolt arrow and Boltcutter broadhead went clean through a big elk.

I have bow hunted deer for 35 years. Last year in Michigan it became legal for hunters over 50 to use a cross bows. I spent a year shooting all the top brands at my Hunting club. I can afford any bow on the market but chose the Excalibur Exomax, it is the most accurate and most simple to use. I will still hunt with my compound later in the season after the woods get still after gun season. As a retired tool maker/Process Engineer I found the Excalibur Exomax bow an Exceptional tool (custom workmanship) That is lacking in some of the other top brand names!
