Srinagar: The basic archery training camps for boys and girls held at the Srinagar youth hostel end here on Monday.
J&K Sports and Youth Services General Manager, Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman was the guest of honor at the closing ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Rehman encouraged participants to work hard in their respective fields and be good citizens of the nation.
He inquired about the facilities made available to interns during the internship. He asked DYSSO Srinagar to also organize advanced training camps in the disciplines so that potential players have a platform to showcase their talent. Later, YS&S General Manager, J&K facilitated participants with course completion certificates and medals. The guest of honor also inaugurated the basic fencing training camp for girls.
He was flanked by the head of district youth and sports services, Srinagar, Balbir Singh, under whose supervision these training camps are held.
Basic archery, fencing and rifle training camps are being held here in Srinagar for the first time.
