The Turbo S1, from TenPoint, is ready to take on turkey season. The crossbow features some of TenPoint’s latest technologies, including the AcuSlide cocking and decocking system, while delivering velocities of 390 fps with a 400 grain bolt. A forward-draw crossbow, the Turbo S1 is only 31 inches long without its stirrup and just 7.2 inches wide.

The AcuSlide features the company’s Auto-Brake System, which allows for quiet cocking and safe, controlled decocking of the crossbow. The automatic braking gear system reduces the risk of losing control, which can lead to injury or costly arc damage during the cocking or uncocking process. When cocking and disarming with the AcuSlide, the user can remove their hand from the handle at any time, with no further action required, and the handle will stop in place. The crank reduces cocking effort to five pounds and stores securely in the stock.

Powered by RX6-Cams, the forward-draw bow set makes the difference for TenPoint’s shortest traditional crossbow, as the cam system rotates 340 degrees. The set’s Vector-Quad cable technology uses four cables instead of the traditional two, which helps eliminate cam tilt and generates straight notch travel leading to greater downline accuracy.

The Turbo S1 is equipped with the company’s S1 trigger. This two-stage, no-creep design features a roller gripping system that delivers a consistently crisp 3.5-pound pull. The trigger is equipped with a DFI (Dry-Fire-Inhibitor) and is fitted with a nylon filament arrow retention brush that improves arrow grip and alignment to reduce noise and vibration. An integrated rope stop system is also included to further reduce noise and vibration.

The crossbow features an ultra-short 19.5-inch Micro Trac fluted aluminum barrel, which reduces cockpit area by 50%. Minimal string-to-barrel contact increases accuracy and provides the longest string life in the industry.

The barrel is attached to the ultra-lightweight two-piece Tec-Tac stock that features multiple weight-reducing cutouts, as well as a hollow pocket that houses the AcuSlide cocking and decocking system. The stock drops to the comb and combines with the RangeMaster Pro Scope to achieve eye-level alignment.
